At the core of happiness is a feeling of fulfillment, it’s the joy you feel every step of the way while striving for your greatest potentials.
Does happiness require you to turn a blind eye towards the negatives in your lives and pretend they don’t exist? Absolutely not. Unhappiness is a feeling you shouldn’t ignore, rather, it’s something you should acknowledge and accept, for unhappiness highlights the things you’re truly unhappy about. Maybe it’s a toxic relationship, marital issues, terrible jobs, weight problems, and so on and so forth.
The unhappiness you’re feeling helps you be more honest to yourself, giving you the permission to admit that you need to do something to change and take actions to bring you closer to a better you living a happier life.
The true enemy of happiness, therefore, isn’t unhappiness, rather it’s apathy. It’s that uncaring attitude, indifference and lack of interest, making you stay in status quo and miss all the opportunities that might just lead you to the path of fulfillment.
