Should a man always wear socks? To mankle or not to mankle. This topic is incredibly fascinating and always inspires such passionate debate.
Personally, I have nothing against it, and I believe that there’s time and place for this trend.
So, what makes no-socks look for men OK? Five important factors. One, the climate: OK for warmer weather, not OK otherwise.
Two, the occassion: OK for casual settings, not OK for business meetings or formal dinner.
Three, the shoes: OK for loafers and casual footwear like slip-ons, espadrilles, sneakers and boat shoes, not OK for Oxfords and other formal shoes (unless you’re a runway model walking for Haider Ackermann).
Four, length of your trousers: OK for cropped and slightly shorter length, not OK for longer length.
Five, your style personality: OK for dandies and italian-inspired rakish gentlemen showing an air of sprezzatura, not OK otherwise.
In the next video, we’ll talk about the right way of going sockless.
